시놉시스

장애여성 최옥란씨는 자살을 선택하고 모든 이들을 떠난다. 최옥란씨는 장애인 이동권 확보 투쟁, 장애인 수급권 투쟁 등에 항상 열심히 결합한다. 그러나 그 처절한 외침의 메아리는 공권력에 의한 폭력으로 돌아오고 어떠한 제도적인 장치도 만들어지지 않는다. 결국 최옥란씨는 자살을 선택하고 더 이상 장애도 멸시도 없는 세상으로 떠난다.
On an early spring day of 2002, police officers stand in front of the funeral car of a disabled, blocking its way. Choi Ok-ran's road to heaven seems no easier than her lifelong struggle for the rights of the disabled. Choi Ok-ran was one person who stood firmly in her place throughout the height of the mobility rights struggle for the disabled in 2001. Without being able to move, the disabled cannot find jobs. Without jobs, they can never be free from economic burden. In the eyes of the government, such disabled people are only a nuisance: objects of pity, objects of the so-called 'campaigns to help the needy'. With her final outcry for the guarantee of minimum living expenses, Ok-ran chooses to leave this world.
